Local Artist Works With Class 6

8th March 2019

“This has been an outstanding morning, “ commented Josh, Year 6. The class were treated to a morning of stories from the sea by local artist and retired fisherman, Keith Harris. Keith, born in Redruth 70 years ago, enthralled the children (and adults) with his tales of his Cornish childhood, his fishing adventures and most importantly his passion for the sea, boats and art. The children were all inspired and quite overwhelmed by the visit. “I have never seen such amazing art work,” said Sennen, “And I have been to the National Gallery!”
Keith gave all of the children a print of his painting which he had donated to the school earlier in the year. Three lucky children found money in their envelopes!
Keith ended the talk with an important message. “If you want to do something, do it. Think about what you want to do and just go for it.”
